The Bizerba software _statistics.Brain improves material use. The software for fill volume (FPV) and statistical process control (SPC) measures random samples on local weighers installed directly on the production line, so that the machine operator is notified immediately if nonconformances are detected. Unnecessarily overweight packs are avoided and supervisory personnel can be dispensed with. Master data administration and statistical analyses are concentrated in the central computer to facilitate traceability and permit assessments and comparisons of items and machines. In combination with manual weighing systems, _statistics.Brain is also suitable for spot checking as well as for 100 % checks with CWM checkweighers and GLM-I labelling machines.
